BASIC COURSE CONTENTS
This course includes the following important aspects;
Understanding the National Environmental Management Act and the obligations required by this Act.
Understanding the company Environmental Health and Safety Policy.
Understanding compliance responsibilities including whistleblowers, the reporting of environmental incidents and non-compliance with NEMA.
An introduction to Waste Management and Waste Recycling.
Understanding what waste materials can be recycled.
Waste recycling, including recycling of small appliances, aluminium, paper and cardboard, household and office goods, building materials and batteries.
Introduction to a waste recycling program.
Understanding Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - the benefits of Recycling.
Managing a recycling program, including appointing a Waste Recycling Coordinator and analysing recycling waste data.
COURSE DETAILS
The course duration is approximately two (2) hours.
The course requires secure access via a username and password and can be accessed via PC or mobile phone.
The course programme includes a number of modules with a quiz at the end of each module to determine the competence of the learner.
