WHAT DOES REGISTRATION WITH THE WCA MEAN?

The purpose of this WCA registration process is to register the employer with Workmen's Compensation in order to cover the organisation and its employees in the event of any employees becoming injured or worse during the course of their work duties, as required by legislation. This process is conducted on behalf of the employer.

WHO NEEDS TO DO THIS?

This WCA registration process is intended for all companies who are not currently registered with Workmen's Compensation.

WHY IS REGISTRATION WITH THE WCA IMPORTANT?

This WCA registration process is important because legislation requires all employers to be registered with Workmen's Compensation. In this way, an organisation and its employees are covered for and entitled to compensation in the event of any employees becoming injured or worse during the course of their duties. This WCA registration process is conducted on behalf of the user who may not understand the process or have the resources to conduct the process and provides evidence to an inspector that an organisation is registered with Workmen's Compensation and is therefore complying with legislation in this respect.

WHAT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION WITH THE WCA?

This WCA registration process requires the following documentation to be submitted:

Company CIPC Registration documentation

SARS Tax Clearance Certificate

Certified ID copy of director(s)

Completed W.As.2 Registration form

Completed W.As.8 form with earnings

Power of Attorney letter (for SafetyWallet authorisation to act on behalf of the employer)

COSTING

This WCA registration process is costed per new registration which means the displayed cost is per new registration. For example, if a user requires 2 (two) new registrations, the order should be made for the total number of new registrations:

New registrations require 2(two) to be registered = 2.

Cost of order = 2 x cost per new registration (add this product 2 times in the SafetyShop).
