How does the Person Involved section work in the Incident tab of the Permit to Work (PTW), in OHS Online?

That's a good question! Let's take a closer look and see how this works. Although this section is only made up of a single check option, this check option is very important because it determines which profile the details of the incident will be updated to in OHS Online.

This check option allows three different selections to be made, based on the type of persons who may be on-site and who could be involved in an incident during the contractor work:

1. Client employee - this selection is made when the person injured is a client employee.
2. Contractor employee - this selection is made when the person injured is a contractor employee.
3. Other - this selection is made when the person injured is a visitor to the client. In this case, it is the responsibility of the client to keep the visitor safe during their time on-site. In the event a visitor is hurt the client is responsible.

When the Client Employee option is checked, the details entered into the Incident tab will be updated to the client's OHS Online profile and will be reflected as a new incident in the Incident section of the client's profile:

When the Contractor Employee option is checked, the details entered into the Incident tab will be updated to the contractor's OHS Online profile and will be reflected as a new incident in the Incident section of the contractor's profile:

When the Other option is checked, the details entered into the Incident tab will be updated to the client's OHS Online profile and will be reflected as a new incident in the Incident section of the client's profile. When the Other option is selected, an additional data row is added, in addition to the client employee field, which allows the details of the visitor to be entered:
