Why checking your PPE is important in the PPE tab

That's an interesting question! The answer is that there's nothing stopping you from simply checking YES to the items. However, if you do this, you are taking a huge risk to yourself in the event that an incident occurs which ties back to this PTW aspect.

If you do not take the time to make the proper checks of the PPE and safety equipment and an incident occurs where the PPE you checked as YES, wasn't there to protect the worker, you will be held responsible for the consequences of that incident. So rather, do the checks, make sure the selected PPE is in place and then checks the list options as YES. They won't take you long and they ensure the proper safety measures are in place.
