What is my Disabling Injury Frequency Rate (DIFR) report in the Hours Worked register in OHS Online?

That's a very important question! Your DIFR report is your Disabling Injury Frequency Rate report which examines the ratio between actual disabling injuries per million-man hours worked, expressed as a percentage. This report, when used correctly, can be a very useful tool which you can use to establish how severe your workplace incidents are. With this information, you can then put strategies into place to counter future incidents and thereby improve your workplace health and safety. Report

The DIFR report, by default, reports figures for a twelve (12) month period but OHS Online provides you with the ability to report shorter or longer periods if you need to. The actual report is made up of three main parts; the first part is a graph which displays your DIFR figures visually, allowing you to pick up on any trends which might be present:

The second part of the report lists your monthly DIFR figures. You will see that in the same way OHS Online highlights information it adds automatically, this same format will pull through into your DIFR report, so that you can see which is accurate information and which is the industry calculation (OHS Online uses the number of employees advised by your company on signing, to calculate the number of man hours worked in a month):

The third and final part of the report, provides an explanation of the DIFR calculation and a key for the automated and accurate information making up the report:
