As a SafetyWallet member, do I need a Health and Safety Policy?

A health and safety policy is strongly advised in section 7 of the OHS Act. This makes it a good reason to have one. However, this is not the only reason, there are also a number of other very valid reasons why you should have a health and safety policy: 

1/. A health and safety policy shows a company is serious about and is committed to ensuring a healthy and safe workplace. 

2/. A health and safety policy enhances a company's reputation in its industry and indicates to other businesses that it operates with safety principles. 

3/. A health and safety policy shows existing employees and potentially new employees that the company cares about them. This can put employees more at ease and improve the trust relationship between an employee and the business.
