How the period that makes the contractor valid is determined

A good question! The details of the allowable time period for the contractor's invoice to be valid are included in the instructions section at the top of the Contractor Confirmation page, however, here they are again, just for your reference:

1/. The invoice must be dated and the date fall within the current year (January to December of the current year).
