COIDA WCA Assessment Tariff Categories Classes

The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, also known as COIDA / WCA, provides all employees with the necessary compensation in the event of disablement by either occupational injuries or diseases, sustained or contracted during an employee’s employment period. COIDA / WCA also provides compensation should death result from such injuries or diseases. It also aims to provide for any and all matters which are connected herewith.

COIDA/ WCA ensures that all employees who are disabled by occupational injuries or diseases, sustained or contracted by employees during their employment, are compensated adequately. COIDA / WCA also provides compensation should injuries or diseases result in death in addition to providing for any and all matters connected herewith.

The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, more commonly known as COIDA / WCA, is tasked with ensuring that all employees receive the necessary compensation in the event of disablement due to injuries or diseases, sustained or contracted over the employee’s duration of employment.

The drive behind COIDA / WCA is, first and foremost, to give all employees the required compensation should they be disabled by occupational injuries or diseases, suffered or contracted by employees during their employment. It also provides compensation in the event that death results from such injuries or diseases and provides for any and all matters which are connected herewith.

COIDA / WCA ensures that all employees who may be disabled by injuries on duty or diseases, which they may have suffered or contracted during the duration of their employment, are adequately compensated. COIDA / WCA also provides compensation should the disablement, caused either by injuries or disease, lead to death in addition to providing for all matters which are connected herewith. COIDA / WCA ensures that employees receive compensation should they be disabled by any occupational injuries or diseases, sustained throughout the duration of their employment. In addition, the necessary compensation is also provided should such injuries or diseases lead to death. All and any matters associated herewith are also provided for.

Class-M is a brand-new Class that has been added to the list of COIDA / WCA tariff assessed by the Compensation Commission and relates to domestic employees employed by private households.
